Bill Duke, of counsel with Tripp Scott, focuses his practice on governmental affairs and general civil litigation.
He has more than 45 years of experience handling state and federal matters in civil trials and appeals, and in healthcare cases, including those involving hospitals, medical centers, medical staff and medical groups.
Previously, Duke was a founding partner with Duke Mullin & Galloway, which merged with Tripp Scott in 2006. At Duke Mullin, he represented a range of clients in general commercial matters as well as environmental land use, administrative law and antitrust cases. In addition, he represented hospitals and medical professionals in healthcare matters that included practice acquisitions, peer reviews, contract negotiations, litigation defense, medical staff administration and by-laws.
Duke is a member of the American and Florida Bar Associations and a fellow with the American College of Trial Lawyers. He is also a former trustee with Broward Community College and a former member of the Federal Judicial Nominating Commission for the Southern District, the 17th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission and the Hundred Club of Broward County.
Duke holds a law degree and a bachelor's degree from Duke University in Durham, N.C. As a law student, he was a member of the Order of the Coif and Omicron Delta Kappa.
