Biographies

Tanya L. Bower, a director with Tripp Scott, focuses her practice on corporate and tax matters, including estate planning, asset protection and wealth preservation.

She counsels owners of closely-held businesses on estate-planning matters and help clients in a wide range of businesses on ERISA matters, including establishing, amending and terminating pension plans. In addition, she is experienced at drafting corporate contracts and other documents; establishing and dissolving corporations, limited-liability companies and partnerships; and representing owners in acquisitions and mergers, including analyzing the tax aspects of these transactions.

Bower is an active member of the Junior League of Greater Ft. Lauderdale, for which she served as co-chair of its Riverwalk Run, Strategic Planning and Social Committees, a member and treasurer of the Transitional Independent Living for Foster Children Committee and a chair of the Emerging Opportunities Committee. In addition, she is the former secretary and a former director of Rebuilding Together Broward County Inc., the former director of Family Service Agency Inc., a member of the Seminole Club of Broward County and the past tournament chairperson for the Bobby Bowden Golf Tournament.

She is a graduate of Class XXIV of Leadership Broward, for which she serves as co-chair of Fun Lunch and is a member of the Youth Leadership Broward Program Committee.

In addition to her community involvement, Bower is a frequent speaker on taxation and pension-related issues to community and business organizations.

Bower holds an LL.M. in taxation from the University of Miami School of Law, a law degree, with honors, from Florida State University College of Law and a bachelor's degree in business administration, with highest honors, from Nova Southeastern University.
